SCOTT, ECHO & AIRFLO DEMO DAY WITH FRANK SMETHURST

Come join us at McLellan's Fly Shop for a Scott, ECHO and Airflo Demo Day on Saturday, March 14th 11-4pm. Frank Smethurst, former host of Trout Unlimited's On the Rise TV show and featured angler in Felt Soul Media's films Running Down the Man and Eastern Rises, will be at the shop for casting demonstrations highlighting the new Scott and ECHO fly rods as well as Airflo fly lines.

We'll have a drawing for a new McLellan's Fly Shop Warmwater Special--one of our favorite Scott rods, and just in time for white bass season--plus we'll fire up the grill and provide free food and beverages! So be sure to stop by the shop on Saturday, March 14th, enjoy the festivities, enter to win a new rod and test cast the new Scott and ECHO fly rods for yourself!

Making Sense of Spey Casting
Sunday, March 15th

Join Frank Smethurst and the McLellan’s Fly Shop crew for a day of focused Spey casting with single-hand, switch and Spey rods. You do not need to own or bring a rod, complete Scott, ECHO, and Airflo line demos will be provided, but if you have a rod that you would like to bring, that’s great too. We will cover most styles, and will focus on the methods of Spey casting that will help you catch more fish wherever you fish with a fly rod.

Class size is limited to eight spots to ensure plenty of hands-on casting instruction. We’ll meet at Twin Bridges around 7:30am Sunday morning, do at least four hours of casting, and then end with lunch on the gravel bar. After lunch, feel free to stick around and put your new Spey casting skills to work on some white bass! The cost is $100 per spot, and all rods, reels, lines, lunch, drinks, etc. will be provided.
